More SodaRatings.com Blog Mentions

January 7th, 2007

I just wanted to mention some other blog mentions that SodaRatings.com has received.

Jason Bean over at Uncover The Internet:

SodaRatings.com is a unique site for sure. I can’t say that I’ve ever heard of another site that lets you rate and add your favorite carbonated beverage to the list for everyone to see. Great idea and definitely worth uncovering on the net.

Elaine from I Love Diet Soda:

… it’s never fun buying a 12-pack of a new kind of soda only to take the first sip and realize it’s disgusting. Now I check out a sodas rating on this site before purchasing. Anyways just wanted to let you in on a little diet soda (regular soda) resource that I think is pretty darn rockin’.

We were also mentioned by Javier Penalva at GenBeta and K. at ITLnet Blog.

Thank you to everyone who has featured us and visited us thus far.

Download Squad: Rate Soda the Web 2.0 Way at SodaRatings.com (Story on Netscape)

December 30th, 2006

I was really excited to launch SodaRatings.com. I really like the site, really dig the idea and I wanted to try to get it in front of some people. Because of this, I e-mailed 4 or 5 blogs/bloggers to just kindly introduce the site and ask them to take a peak. One of the sites that I contacted was Download Squad.

I’m a subscribed reader of Download Squad and have been since it launched, if I recall correctly. I have also been reading Ryan Carter’s writing both there and, before that, at The Unofficial Microsoft Weblog. I regularly find neat stuff linked there (this golf game is neat!) and, well… I considered SR to be neat, so I was encouraged by their tips page to take a shot in the dark.

A few minutes ago, I finished my dinner and came back to my PC, looking at the stats for the site and I noticed a jump. This is because the afforementioned Ryan Carter wrote an entry about it at Download Squad! I’m really grateful for the coverage and the kind words. As I said, I’m excited about the site… and, in turn, I hope that others like it as well.

Coincidentally, the story at Download Squad was submitted to Netscape by Netscape user okitech. So, a big thanks to okitech, as well. The story only has 2 votes (one of which is me!), but I just love that someone thought the story/site interesting enough to submit it at all. So, if you have an account and the story interests you, please vote for it.

Edit: It has also been submitted to Digg! Thanks PHovey!

Thank you for reading.

iFroggy Network Featured in SitePoint Community Crier

June 7th, 2006

I am a staff member at SitePoint Forums. They recently launched an Ask The Staff feature in the SitePoint Community Crier and someone sent in a couple of questions relating to the iFroggy Network, which I answered. They made the issue.

April Fools Day on the iFroggy Network

April 1st, 2006

At KarateForums.com, I won Member of the Month (and acted rather conceited).

phpBBHacks.com implemented some restrictive new support thread… restrictions.

Hope everyone had a fun day.
